This One Goes Out to Peter Cooke
11/14/17 - The First Outfit
So people up here are always trying to tell me about this thing they call "layering."
I say, "I'm cold."
And they say, "Maybe you should be wearing more than a t-shirt and a blazer, it's 30 degrees."
And I throw sand in their face and run away.
But, now I'm trying this whole idea of having a lot of clothing on all at once. Pros: it's hip. It's happening. Cons: I probably have to do more laundry.
I wanted this outfit to be professional but not... too professional. I had some meetings with some people who have Emmys in their office who will not be named.
As far as the expectations vs. reality go: I give this a solid 7.5. It ended up looking pretty similar to my original sketch. I added a hefty wool scarf that matched the cardigan. And basically anytime I can look like a professor on a casual day combined with a preppy teen, I'll do it. Overall- it worked out well. Would wear again.
