Texas Girl Meets Cold, Frigid World
In an effort to bring some sort of planning, forethought, or any thought at all into what I wear or how I look, I have begun to plan out my outfits on a chart.
This all started by looking back at some old photos of myself from the last two winters in Pittsburgh, aka the first times I've had to trudge through the winters of discontent of the Northeast. And looking back at those old photos, one might think I'm a member of the Russian mafia who is bound by blood not to take off my Adidas track suit, or that I have only 1 sweatshirt that is sewn onto my body. Despite all this evidence.. that's not true. I have definitely more clothing than that. And I'm here to prove it. Being from Texas my true winter experience is limited. 50 degrees? That used to be cold. These Northern heathens love that kind of weather. This is just me trying to adjust to their cold, cold tastes.
I know what you're thinking: A blog? The year is 2017. We Facebook Live Stream our assholes from the moon now. And I say: I know, but I'm a making a blog.
I looked through my closet and all the things I own with the help of my small roommate. I gathered some colored pencils and some classy brown paper that I own because I'm a designer.
Each day I hope to wear these outfits with all the different combinations of things that I own so maybe, I'll feel... good. Disclaimer: these outfits may not be the greatest or even good. But my point here is not to become the most fashionable. The point is that I'm dedicating myself to the cause of learning how to adapt to the weather.
Are you ready??
