P!nk!!1!
Day 2- 11/14/17
Day 2 was a day for new beginnings.
Long underwear and Pink hair.
The prior was suggested to me by some winter experts as a good tactic to wear under skirts so the wind don't blow where the sun don't shine. And I have to say this isn't like Laura Ingall Wilder's day where Pa wore his long underwear for 3 months straight. Maybe Pa would've appreciated my fleece tights because I sure didn't. The rest of the outfit was a healthy mix of homeless, sk8erboi, and The Light of The Seven. I give it a 7 out of 10, minus the fleece tights.
As for the pink hair, once upon a time a young Texas girl left home to go far far away. She wanted to become her true edgy Northeast self to get away from that Texas image.
And what says "I'm edgy and away from home" more than pink hair?
You're right, its nothing.
So, last night, I returned to the days of yore. But in a new fun way. Less Hot Topic- more Rose Gold. This all happened because my dear friend Owen Stone is reprising his look as a blue-headed boy. So, I said I would help him. But, I needed gloves, because a blue head is a good look, but blue hands, not so good. And as I was at the CVS looking for gloves, a box beaconed to me. A box with an incredibly pale white woman and incredibly rose gold hair. And y'know.. those come with gloves too.
So I, with all the forethought of a goldfish did what I thought I'd never do again- I dyed my hair pink. We will see how that affects this whole outfit plan. How can I mix my impulsive nature with a long commitment to fashion?
Keep tuning in to find out.
